This year, RIDE Snowboards and K2 Snowboarding TEAMED up for an event that was designed to break the boundaries of the typical “snowboard contest”. TEAM SPORTS was the name and pure fun was the game. Campers were allotted to 1 of 6 teams led by RIDE team riders, Spencer Schubert, Danimals, and Cole Navin and K2 riders, Jake Kuzyk, Nick Dirks, and Johnny Brady in which they worked as a team to battle a list of tricks in a set amount of time.
Starting on the rail portion, every grind and slide from a frontside 50-50 to a switch 180 press was carefully executed between the teams, using everyone’s rail strengths to bang out the 32 tricks total. Team SCHUBERT was the first to complete all 32 tricks in under a half hour when camper Chilli Graves landed the switch backside 180 onto the down rail to close out the trick list.

After the rail portion, the entire crew moved up to the medium jump where a serious of peculiar grabs were assigned to spins up to 360. Mute-Stiffy, Bloody Dracula, and Walt-Air were just some of the hand on board maneuvers that the team had to navigate.
At the end of the day, Team Danimals somehow not only completed all the rail maneuvers, but slaughtered the jump landing 360 Crails, 180 bloody Dracula’s, and one of the only successfully completed Walt-Airs.
TEAM SPORTS changed the game of the preconceived “snowboard contest” allowing a group of friends to gather-round simple features in the park and push each other to try tricks they have never tried before, all while laughing and cheering on friends for the greater cause.
Stoked on this new edit from Ryoki Ogawa that just got emailed to me. Ryoki is on our Regional team and is originally from Tokyo. He’s now living in Whistler B.C. shredding a lot and working at a local skate shop to pay the bills. He’s pretty much living the dream!
Todd Kirby didn’t even know what he was doing here. A combination of a backside rodeo and a Miller flip. Nailed on his first try.

During the week of April 28 – May 2, Summit at Snoqualmie hosted an event dubbed, Hiro and Ten’s Excellent Rhythm Adventure. The name, simply put, is a reference to the rhythm course brainstormed by Austin Hironaka and Austen Sweetin. When these two get an idea for something to build they take it to Joe Pope and his crew at The Summit to make it happen. It started as an idea for a smooth flowing rhythm section of five jumps, much like a dirt jump track for bikes. Read the rest on Snowboarder’s Site…

After two days of less than ideal weather, the crew of riders at Superpark 18 were ready to send it when the sun came out on Day 4. The day was jam packed and subsequently, this video is chock full of hammers. Powder turns kicked off the morning, followed by Superpark 18: The Webcast on the Woodward Booter Dam step up, and then a night rail session in the Woodward plaza. We won’t waste your time reading when you could be watching what went down, starting with a sick inbounds powder line from Iikka Backstrom and continuing on with riding from the likes of Louif Paradis, Alex Cantin, Scott Blum, Zak Hale, Frank April, Sage Kotsenburg, Jake Welch, Yuki Kadono, and many more.
